(More customer reviews)The shark stands are a variation of push up stands.The claim is that they make push ups more comfortable and take stress off the wrist (mostly by preventing your hands/wrists from forming an L shape in contact with the floor).

I bought these because I was under the impression that Hampton has a solid reputation for upscale, quality equipment.Also, I was curious;I buy a lot of home fitness gear and often enjoy the variations it adds to my workouts.

The Shark Stands are made of a pale grey plastic that is very thin.It does not inspire confidence in the strength of the product.The foam on top is adequate but compresses completely under little weight.Each stand features 4 tiny rubber feet set on the bottom to prevent slippage -- or rather they should.One of my stands came missing a foot.

Overall I did not feel the Shark Stands did their job any better than smaller, cheaper tube style push up stands.The level of quality was less than expected; this product is not worth $30.

To date the best item I have found to enhance push ups is 'the strength builder' which is expensive but surprisingly well designed and useful.
