(More customer reviews)This is my first encounter with Christi- and I am really not pleased with the dvd.I have taken aerobics classes before and this dvd moves way too fast and she does not explain what you should be doing with your body.There is a feature on the dvd to move through the combinations slower with the instructor, however all she does is count off by 8's; not give you a description of what you should be doing.

All in all, only get this if you are a REALLY fast learner and already extremely proficient in aerobics and dance- otherwise, it's not worth it.

(More customer reviews)The good points about this DVD is that it has a lot of features.There is the main workout, a cool down, a bunch of extra excercises, and even a "combination platters" section that combinesdifferent parts of the main workout with the other excercises.There is also the "choreography 101" and "movemaster" sections that are supposed to help you learn the steps.

However, the moves Christi does are simply too complicated.I spent most of my time tripping over myself trying to get the moves instead of breaking a sweat.The "Choreography 101" section shows the basic foot patterns, but after Christi is done modifying them in the main workout, they are unrecognizable. The "Movemaster" section is basically the core of the workout done a little more slowly, with no real further explaination of what she's doing.I spent a long time with the "movemaster" on 3/4 speed, trying to learn the combinations, just for the modifications in the main workout to trip me up.After about a week of trying, I finally gave up.

So, unless you are a dancer, you might want to try a different video.There are others out that get your heart rate up as much, without the intricate spins and footwork.

(More customer reviews)I began my search for some good grip strengthening equipment a few months ago...It was a pathetic sight, watching me fight & fuss with various jars & bottles, who's lids would just NOT come off for me!

First, I purchased the blue & red Gripmaster Hand Grips from Amazon...they were amazing, but you progress through them so quickly, that they become unchallenging after a couple weeks. So, Instead of spending another $12 on the black Gripmaster, I purchased these Valeo Grips.

I'm not thrilled. To strengthen your hands and forearms, it is recommended that you go for more repetitions, rather than high resistance. It is impossible for me to do more than 3 sets of 15-20 squeezes with these because the resistance is so tough. The handles themselves are not conducive to more reps. Once your hands become damp, they slide a bit, making it harder to squeeze and keep correct form.

For someone more advanced, I'm sure these will be fine for you, but for those just starting on a strengthening routine, I'd avoid these for now.

First, while it might not matter to most people, the opening is not large enough to drop a standard size half-moon ice cube in. I use mine with chilled water and it does maintain temperature well enough, but I would prefer to add a few cubes. Secondly, I accidentally knocked my bottle lightly against a trash container at my gym and was surprised that it dented so easily. I have dropped my Nalgene bottle many times and it always survives. The Sigg makes a better pretty addition to a bookcase than a practical bottle for daily use.

(More customer reviews)This workout series was initially billed as an "advanced, intense cardio workout series."In reality, it is a mix of intensities.While some of the workouts are advanced, some are not.

I've reviewed all these individually (see each DVD Amazon listing for details).For those workouts I liked, I gave each 5 stars, for those workouts I didn't like, I gave them 2 or 3 starts.That's why I'm rating the series as a whole only 3 stars.

The workouts I love:

**MMA Fusion
**Cardio Core Circuit
**HiiT
**Circuit Blast
**Travel Fit
**MMA Boxing.

Why I love these workouts:

**they're very intense and what I expect from Cathe
**they're fun
**Cathe is her usual energetic and enthusiastic self
**they'll give you a great workout in under an hour.

The workouts I don't like:

**MMA Kickbox
**Athletic Step
**Step Moves.

Why I don't like these workouts:

**they're not at all intense.My heart rate doesn't even get into the low end of my aerobic range.
**the music is uninspiring.
**they're not fun; probably because the music is so blah.
**Cathe is very subdued and even she doesn't look like she's having fun.
**Excruciatingly long warm up and NO cool down.Since these are low intensity, a long warm-up is not needed. At the end of the workouts, Cathe says, "okay, cool down on your own and then come back for the stretch."No, I won't cool down on my own. She could have cut 2 minutes from the warm-up and used that time for the cool down.

It is a better deal to buy the Shock Cardio DVDs as a set, but you may not like them all.I suggest reading the detailed descriptions and reviews of each DVD and then deciding what to buy.

(More customer reviews)I have used this video for indoor rides since I gave it to myself for Christmas '09.Following the rider (Coach Troy) is great for anyone who knows what a cycling group or training ride is all about.I recommend these videos to break up the monotony of indoor training.The hill climb is great and can be done at whatever level you choose.I like that it has a 'music off' mode so I can listen to my own tunes while choosing to tune in or out on the Coach's voice during the ride.

We use these in my Krav Maga class and we had some kick shields by other companys and the others show signs of heavy wear and tear after 6 months. The revgear just keeps on going! So when I decided to get a kick shield for home practice I went with revgear because I know it will last.
